Celebrate Earth Hour 2011 at Hilton Hanoi Opera
VIETNAM – On March 26 at 20:30 hours, together with millions all over the world, Hilton Hanoi Opera will be continuing its tradition of supporting Earth Hour this year.
The hotel has been commemorating Earth Hour since 2009 when Vietnam first participated as a country in this global initiative to enhance the level of environmental awareness in Hanoi as well as the rest of the world.
Each year, Hilton Hanoi Opera organises a series of activities during the Earth Hour in celebration of this meaningful initiative. This year is no exception as all non-essential lights in the lobby and public areas of the hotel will be switched off during Earth Hour and replaced by candles. Earth Hour posters have been placed around the hotel to inform the guests of these initiatives in advance to avoid any inconveniences.
Peter Simson, general manager, Hilton Hanoi Opera said, “By participating in the Earth Hour, we hope that through the hotel’s efforts and personal commitment of our staff members, we can in turn educate and inspire our guests to do the same towards environmental conservation.”
Echoing this year’s Earth Hour slogan – “Go beyond the hour”, the hotel will also constantly review its business operating practices to try and reduce the impact on the environment and contribute towards global conservation efforts.
